Covered bulk freight wagons with controlled gravity unloading and two wheelsets.

These wagons are suitable for transporting bulk goods that need to be protected from the weather. They are equipped with a trackside discharge device that allows for controlled unloading of the freight. Most vehicles have an interior coating, which is characterised in particular by protection against contamination, more favourable unloading behaviour (slippage) for goods that flow with difficulty and improved corrosion protection for aggressive cargo. Priority cargoes are fertiliser, lime and coke.

Please note: Type is similar to the wagon in the photo. For exact dimensions, please refer to the drawing and the data below.

Additional information:

The wagon is used for transporting fine-grained, moisture-sensitive bulk goods of all kinds, such as salts and fertilisers. The transport of coarse-grained or angular, heavy goods (e.g. gravel, slag, ballast) is not permitted due to possible damage to the inner coating.

The underframe has been manufactured as a welded structure using rolled steel sections and sheet metal. The funnel-shaped wagon body is a welded structure made of low-corrosion steel and welded to the underframe. The loading space consists of two hoppers separated by a transverse saddle. The angle of repose of the cargo must not exceed 45°.

On each long side of the wagon, there are two sliding gates for unloading, which can be actuated individually from an operator platform at the front. The sliding gates can be locked at intervals of 25 mm. There is a fixed and a folding discharge chute under each sliding gate. Stop rails are fitted above the sliding gates for suspending vibrators.

Unloading can be done onto conveyor belts positioned to the side of the track or into underground bunkers positioned to the side of the track. Loading and unloading by means of grabs is not permitted.

The one-part lateral sliding roof is opened and closed by actuating a hand wheel from the operator platform. Moving the wagon when the roof is open or not lowered is not permitted.

As corrosion protection, the freight wagons have a thick coating based on epoxy resin.
