Additional information:
The wagon is especially suitable for carrying heavy sheet metal coils that do not need to be protected from the weather.
The underframe consists of two continuous outer solebars made of St 52, which are connected by the two pivot bolsters – a welded structure made of St 52 sheets – and additional rolled steel sectional beams. It is designed for a load corresponding to 22.5 t axle load.
All crossbearers are positioned in a saddle shape, connected to lightened web plates and form seven loading cradles. The cradles themselves are made of 8 mm thick steel sheets and slope 45° in the upper area and 30° in the lower area for sheet metal coils with a smaller diameter.
The parking brake, which can be operated from the ground, acts on one bogie.
The wagon is equipped with a non-continuous draw gear (draft gear type 540).
