Article: Eas 066

Eas are open bogie wagons equipped with a continuous top chord, four double doors on each side and steel flooring.

They are suitable for transporting a wide variety of goods both in bulk (coal, ores, non-metallic minerals) and in packaged form (logs or semi-finished steel products (rod iron/slabs)). Rings attached to the outside of the wagon enable nets/sheets or tarpaulin covers to be fastened to prevent the freight from getting wet or to prevent wind losses from bulk goods.

Please note: Type is similar to the wagon in the photo. For exact dimensions, please refer to the data below.

Additional information:

The freight wagon is preferred for transporting loads that are not sensitive to weather, such as raw coal, briquettes, coke, ore, ballast and similar bulk goods, as well as scrap, part loads, load units and heavy concentrated loads.

The underframe is a welded structure made of sheet metal, rolled steel sections and wide flat steel. The wagon body is designed as a weldment with continuous cantrails. The upper side straps are connected to each other by two end crossbars. The side walls are reinforced by means of intermediate, corner and door posts.

The end flap rests in two bearings welded to the wagon body at the top. The flap is held in place by two locking tabs. The knee-type locking bar for opening the end flap rests in eight supports welded to the head beam. A safety hook holds the main locking bar in place. The floor consists of 45 mm thick hardwood planks lying flush against each other; wagons with the index letter "x" are equipped with a steel floor.

The wagon is capable of end dumping and rotary tippling.

Some of the wagons are equipped with a parking brake that can be operated from the ground on both sides of the wagon.
