Additional information:

The wagon is mainly used to transport hot-rolled, unpickled sheet metal coils with an outer diameter of 700 to 2,200 mm. The cradle length (loading width) of 2,500 mm can also be utilised by inserting more than one sheet metal coil.

The design of the stillage allows sheet metal coils with surface temperatures of up to 600°C (at the side on which they are resting) to be loaded. However, the loaded vehicle may only be transported once the temperature at the skin of the sheet metal coils has reached 100°C.

The stillage, which weighs about 6 t, is removable. It is fixed in four sockets in the wagon floor by spigots. Without the stillage, the wagon is identical to the Salmmnps 706.
