Article: Slnps 468
Bogie flat wagon with four wheelsets, end stanchions and loading frame. The sleeper transport wagon is used for transporting sleepers for track conversion trains according to the SUM conversion method during new track construction or track repair. Side-mounted gantry crane rails and drive-over rails between adjacent sleeper transport wagons enable the track to be serviced using gantry cranes. Belt winches and hooks are provided for securing the load.

Additional information:
Slnps 468 wagons were developed from the 719 type and have the same underframe construction, draw/buffing gear, brake and bogie as the original type. The type 719 documentation applies to these components. The stanchions, stanchion mountings, indirect fastening equipment and bolsters have been removed to construct a loading frame. The wagons are primarily used for transporting sleepers according to the SUM conversion method and are equipped with gantry crane rails of track gauge 2,806 mm and drive-over rails. Where gantry cranes are operated with drive-over rails inserted, the smallest negotiable curve radius is 190 m. For transporting sleepers, the wagons are equipped with a loading frame consisting of solebars and crossbearers as well as end supports/stanchions, the dimensions of which are adapted to the gantry cranes used. The wagons can hold six 30-piece concrete sleeper packages or 180 sleepers. The frame has anti-slip wooden planks to support the sleepers.
For lashing the sleepers, 12 belt winches incl. lashing strap with tensioning hooks on the opposite side are attached to the long side of the wagon.
The wagon floor is completely covered with a walk-on perforated plate or grating. The covers are not suitable for carrying loads.
