 Eanos-x 056

Eanos are open bogie wagons with a large loading space, high load limits, a continuous top chord, two double doors on each side and steel flooring.

They are suitable for transporting a wide variety of goods both in bulk (scrap, coal, ores, non-metallic minerals) and in packaged form (containers, black band coils, logs or semi-finished steel products (rod iron/slabs)). Rings attached to the outside of the wagon enable nets/sheets or tarpaulin covers to be fastened to prevent the freight from getting wet or to prevent wind losses from bulk goods. To secure lightweight loose scrap, hooks are fitted below the top chords to allow wire netting covers to be fastened. In order to withstand the heavy-duty stresses experienced in scrap metal transport, this Ea wagon has been specially equipped with reinforced walls and floors and fitted out with guards to protect the wagon's controls.

Please note: Type is similar to the wagon in the photo. For exact dimensions, please refer to the data below.

Additional information:

The wagons are intended for transporting bulk goods and scrap.

The underframe is a welded structure made of sectional beams in St 52 and St 37 grade steel and is rated for an axle load of 22.5 t. The side solebars consist of U 240 and the middle solebars of U 300 sections.

The floor is made of 6 mm, the doors of 5 mm and the end and side walls of 4 mm thick sheet metal. In the floor area, the walls are covered by 6 mm thick sheet metal to a height of approx. 300 mm. The end pillars, side pillars and door posts are made of IPBL 140 sections. There are 32 lashing rings on the outside of the wagon body, 20 open hooks on the top chord and 16 tie-down rings inside the wagon, at a height of 200 mm above the top of floor. On some of the wagons of this type, two of the four doors are welded shut. The doors that can still be opened are positioned diagonally to one another.
