Container wagon with four wheelsets for large containers and jumbo swap bodies.

The wagon features the new container wagon design and is intended for transporting containers on trains used in combined full-container-load transport. The side solebars of the wagon have fixed and folding spigots for fixing the load units in various combinations for each intended loading position.

Additional information:

The wagon consists of the reusable components of the Sdgkms 707 and a completely redesigned underframe.
The underframe is a welded structure, mainly made of St 52-3 grade steel; it is designed for a maximum axle load of 16 t and has 16 partially fixed and fold-down fastening pins for transporting containers and swap bodies. The underframe consists of two front-end components that are connected by two welded solebars. The cross connection between the solebars consists of folded U-profiles. The front-end components consist of the headstock, front solebar, front crossbearer, slider beams and centre casting beam.
The wagon is designed to transport containers up to 2.6 m wide; the stand-up height has been lowered to 845 mm above top of rail. There is a step-over facility in the middle of the wagon.
The wagon is equipped with a stepless, independent pneumatic brake (SS/S). A WM 40 load-proportional valve, an RLV 6 relay valve and two CK 10" brake cylinders are installed in each bogie. The brake blocks on the Sgkkms 698 are made of Jurid 838.
The wagon can travel on curve radii < 75 m individually when empty and loaded and can pass over ferry ramp angles of 1°30'.

The rule "Do not fly shunt or loose shunt" applies to this wagon.
